Home/Declared termite areas/Banyule

Is Banyule City Council a declared termite area?

Yes. Banyule City Council has designated its whole municipality as a termite risk area.

A

What this means for your build

In a declared area, new buildings and additions need a termite management system under the National Construction Code, and your building surveyor will look for protection to AS 3660.1 and an installation certificate at handover.

Price termite protection into the job from the start: most of it goes in before and during the slab pour and can’t be added later.
