JH Termite Barrier Installation
Vale Pest Group specialises in the installation of JH Termite Barrier systems for commercial construction throughout Melbourne, Brisbane and South East Queensland: education, healthcare, retail, community and multi-residential projects. Residential work is delivered through the builder.
JH combines durable physical termite protection with active termite management technology, repelling and killing termites at critical entry points throughout the structure. When incorporated into suitable construction systems, JH can also perform the function of a damp proof course and vapour barrier. The system is supported by CodeMark certification and backed by a 50 Year Product Warranty.
Why JH Termite Barrier
Physical Barrier
Toughened polyethylene outer layers provide durable physical termite protection at critical entry points throughout the structure.
Repels Termites
Designed to deter termite activity before termites reach vulnerable building entry points.
Kills Termites
Incorporates deltamethrin impregnated modulus fibre designed to kill termites that come into contact with the active component.
Damp Proof Course & Vapour Barrier Function
When incorporated into suitable under slab and perimeter construction systems, JH can perform the function of a damp proof course and contribute vapour barrier functionality.
50 Year Warranty
Supported by a 50-Year Product Warranty when installed in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
Suitable for Department of Education (DoE) Projects
JH Termite Barrier complies with Department of Education termite management requirements and is regularly specified for education facilities and other long life public assets.
One of the key advantages of JH is that the system is physically incorporated into the building during construction. Unlike chemical soil treatment systems that may require ongoing monitoring, replenishment or re-treatment over the life of the building, JH remains permanently integrated into the structure for the economic life of the building.
This makes JH particularly well suited to:
- Schools
- TAFE campuses
- Universities
- Government buildings
- Childcare facilities
- Healthcare facilities
Vale as JH Installer
Vale Pest Group installs JH exclusively for commercial builders and head contractors, with installation scheduled directly against construction programs. Compliance certificates and marked installation plans are provided as part of the standard installation process. Vale operates across Queensland and Victoria, with technical support available for projects Australia wide.

What is JH Termite Barrier?
JH Termite Barrier is a termite management system is a tough non woven physical sheet that is specially engineered with a deltamethrin impregnated modulus fibre designed to repel termites and kill termites that come into contact with the active component.
What does installation involve at the concrete pour stage?
JH collars are fixed to all service penetrations, and construction joints, prior to the concrete slab being poured and sandwiching the system in between the building elements to ensure termite entry points are sealed for the next 50 years.
What makes JH different from other termite barrier systems?
Unlike many systems that rely on either physical protection or chemical protection, JH combines both approaches within a single termite management system. It also does not require future retreatment in the way soil applied chemical systems may.
Where can JH be installed?
JH can be incorporated into all termite entry points including: service penetrations, construction joints, cutout and infill slabs, perimeter details, full under slab systems and subfloor construction applications.
Can JH function as a damp proof course or vapour barrier?
Yes. When incorporated into suitable construction systems, JH can perform the function of a damp proof course and contribute vapour barrier functionality.
Does JH comply with Department of Education requirements?
Yes. JH Termite Barrier complies with Department of Education termite management requirements and is commonly specified for education facilities and other long-life public assets. Because the system is physically incorporated into the building during construction, it remains part of the structure and does not rely on future re-treatment programs in the same way some soil-applied chemical systems may.
What warranty is provided with JH Termite Barrier?
JH Termite Barrier is backed by a 50 Year Product Warranty when installed in accordance with manufacturer requirements and specifications.
Is JH safe for residential and commercial use?
Yes. JH is safe for use in residential, commercial, industrial and government construction projects. It is non-hazardous, yet lethal to termites.
Is JH suitable for commercial construction projects?
Yes. JH is commonly incorporated into commercial construction: education, healthcare, retail, community and multi-residential projects, and residential projects through the builder.
How long does a termite barrier last?
JH Termite Barrier is backed by a 50 Year Product Warranty when installed in accordance with manufacturer requirements. The warranty conditions include an annual inspection.
